Podcast: Tebow, religion and Noah's wildebeests

My buddy @willbrinson and I did another installment of Two Guys and a Podcast, where we laughed at the litigious segment of the North Carolina fanbase, hypocriticately blasted Twitter use by young men (well, I did) and also spent some time on Tim Tebow's faith. I believe the highlight of the show comes when I -- of course it was me! -- said the following:

"There are people out there who really believe there were two wildebeests on that damn ark."

It's all downhill from there. Listen by hitting play below. Also, Subscribe via iTunes and we'll be friends.

I sold out ... and went on Twitter

I know. Believe me, I know .

I wrote this about Twitter .

And I even went on CNN and said this about Twitter .

But here I am. On Twitter. Follow me ?

And for the person out there who took the Twitter address for my name -- just greggdoyel -- I hate you. And I'm disgusted by you. But I have to admit I like your style. And your taste is impeccable.

Twitter will destroy us all

As if the world couldn't get dumber, along comes Twitter to blaze that trail. And athletes and other famous people are leading the way. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

This story set me off. Not the part about La Russa, though it's an irritating part. No, the part that kills me is down low, where Tweets from Shaquille O'Neal and Terrell Owens are quoted, and those guys -- enormous, athletic, virile men -- write like 12-year-old girls. Or boys. Whatever. They write like idiots, is my point, and their idiot-speak will spread to whatever impressionable knuckleheads subscribe to their Twitter feeds in the first place.

Here's what Shaq wrote: "I want kobe bryant to get number four, spread da word."

T.O. wrote about his search for a house in Buffalo, noting that residents don't "want any drama n their neighborhood. LOL!!! Wow!!."

The word is the, Shaq. The. It's one more character, and 75 more IQ points, than da.

And as for you, T.O. ... you left out the smiley face and the wink, you complete and total moron ;)

I just hope Twitter is taking off as much worldwide as it is here. Already the United States is falling behind (most) other industrialized countries in science and math. Now we're dumbing it down in English, with Twitter and Shaq and T.O. and Lance Armstrong and people like them leading us down a path where nobody can write a sentence any more.

They better be Tweeting in Japan. That's my point.
